SENIOR INFANTS
Our first term has been a happy and busy one in Senior Infants! Each morning begins with free play, giving our class time to settle in to their day and enjoy learning through play with their friends. Throughout the term, they have had lots of opportunities to express themselves through chatting to one another, art, movement and play, while building their confidence and independence which is an important part of Senior Infants. What a great bunch they are! :)
FUN! FUN! FUN!
At Good Shepherd School we laugh and play,
In Senior Infants we have fun every day!
We sing, we paint and learn to share.
With happy friends and teachers who care.
We try our best to help one another,
Be kind like sisters, friends or brothers.
Clap you hands and give a cheer.
Senior Infants love it here!
MATHS
Senior Infants really love Maths... especially if our hands on activities involve Smarties!
They have been learning early Maths skills such as counting, sorting and recognising numbers in a fun and meaningful way. Being active helps the children to stay engaged and gives them confidence. Their smiles show that they really enjoy learning Maths through play.
SCIENCE
We've had great fun together exploring and creating.
Check out some of our photos to see what we've been up to.
