World Book Week

What a fantastic week we had celebrating World Book Day! Each day brought a new activity to promote reading such as DEAR time (Drop Everything and Read), Show and Tell and paired reading with those in older classes reading to our younger students. One of the final events of the week was a book quiz which was enjoyed by all.

Of course our dress up day was one of the highlights of the week, with all the children coming to school transformed into their favourite book characters. Everyone made a super effort and it was great to see such creativity!

It was also great to see the return of our annual book fair. Thank you to all who supported the book fair by buying picture books, comics, novels and more. A special thank you also to Ms. Hannigan for all her work organising this week.
